Both must be addressed</p><h2 id="6e935f38-e3b2-450c-81b1-5726b6984d53" data-toc-id="6e935f38-e3b2-450c-81b1-5726b6984d53">What is problem soil?</h2><p>Problem soil is soil that creates problems for structures. I know this sounds obvious but most people don’t know to even ever think about this when they buy or build a home. But there are some sites which cause so many problems, houses should not even be built on them.</p><h3 id="c3c7aad1-7541-410a-9e76-789adfce8ed5" data-toc-id="c3c7aad1-7541-410a-9e76-789adfce8ed5">Indicators of problem soil-</h3><p>Most areas where homes are being or have been built have previous reports that are already available to the public. In the United States there is a government agency which provides results of soil testing in particular areas.
